Sean and Kem have nothing in common...apart from being the best friends in the world. Sean is an out-going, silly, 24-year-old from the north side of Dublin. He has (DMD) Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is confined to a wheelchair and finds it dificult to do simple tasks like tying his shoelaces or typing an email.
Kem is a shy, timid 42-year-old from Yelwa Yauri, a small rural village in Rwanda. He was an English teacher there before times got tough. He now lives in a one bedroom flat in north inner city Dublin and sends money home to his family when he can. Sean has just enrolled in a 'back to education' scheme, studying sound engineering in DIT (Dublin Institute of Technology).
The county council has employed Kem to be Sean's scribe; to type out his assignments, write up notes and send emails. Even though Sean and Kem's personalities are practically polar opposites, they hit it off instantly. They love each other's company. Sean finds Kem hilarious and Kem loves how honest Sean is. For some reason Sean and Kem seem to attract silliness. They constantly find themselves in ridiculously awkward situations, and the more the duo try to rectify things, the more outlandish their situations become.
